Cultural note: chodzić/iść/pójść Chodzić, iść and pójść are all verbs of motion meaning to go (on foot), but they have different implications. With the perfective verb - pójść - the emphasis is on the act of going to and arriving at the destination, whereas with the imperfective verbs - chodzić and iść - the focus is more on the act of going itself and it is not made clear whether the subject arrives at the destination or not. Chodzić is also used to describe habitual activities and iść is used to describe going to or from a particular point on one occasion.
